Only newly immigrated townies and babies born to townies will be affected. Similarly, in Sims 3, any sims that come with a town will bear their original names. See link in Jordi’s thread on how to install clean templates. If you are playing Sims 2, they will not replace the names of the standard townies. They will only affect new townies that are created either when you start a new game or which are created during the course of gameplay. Keep in mind that none of these name lists will affect any sims that have been already created. I know that there is at least one Sims 3 name list floating out there that is made for use with Awesomemod but I was unable to find it (I have it, no idea where I got it from).
